Jane Philpott says Justin Trudeau broke the law by expelling him

OTTAWA – Former Minister Jane Philpott says Prime Minister Justin Trudeau broke the law when he deported him, as did his colleague Jody Wilson-Raybould of the Liberal caucus.

In the House of Commons, Ms. Philpott indicated that the Parliament of Canada Act states that members can not be expelled from their party without a vote, whereas Mr. Trudeau made that decision alone.

She asks the Speaker of the House, Geoff Regan, to declare that there has been a breach of their parliamentary privilege.
